Au Point, Mon Ami!

This lap quilt or large cot quilt is one of a set of three cot or lap quilts I made from one jelly roll of 'Mon Ami' by Basic Grey for Moda, using a pattern called To the Point by Amy Gibson.

The quilts are all made with half square triangles that are cut from joined strips of the jelly roll and I quilted this one with randomly spaced wavy lines.

And the girls came over for a look-see...

May 2017: I have donated this to the Lindsay family to auction at their fundraising quiz, raising money for their church mission to India later this year - what a great adventure they will have, full of purpose, and such a fascinating part of the world to visit. I wish them good luck for their trip!

Diamants, Mon Ami!

I quilted this one with straight lines - it has crinkled up just nicely with being washed. The backing is a soft flannel.

It is one of my goals for the first quarter of the 2017 Finish Along.

"Kia ora" to all my visitors from Amanda Jean's Finish It Up Friday linky party!

July 2018: SOLD $115 (incl. pp) to a customer in Wellington via my felt.co.nz account  (Good timing too, as I've just made a 'wee' purchase this morning at Spotlight for fabrics for my Modern Cross BOM and another special project...in one hand, out the other!)

Pour Mon Petit Ami

This is a small cot quilt, one of a set of three cot or lap quilts I made from one jelly roll of 'Mon Ami' by Basic Grey for Moda, using a pattern called To the Point by Amy Gibson.

The quilts are all made with half square triangles that are cut from joined strips of the jelly roll.

I have quilted it with simple diagonal lines and the backing is a soft flannel.

Diamants x3

In January/February I used up a jelly roll of Basic Grey for Moda's 'Mon Ami' that was in my stash (or textile preservation collection)...

I used a pattern called To The Point by Amy Gibson which is designed to make two crib quilts from Half Square Triangles by using one jelly roll and gives about nine options for layout patterns.

I wanted to try three of the layouts so worked out how to create three different-sized quilts. I named them with French themed names in tribute to the fabric name and the pattern name:
