Mix 'Em Up!

Have been updating my 'maker's journal' with craft projects and cross-referencing with photos and blog posts - and have found a few projects from the past year that haven't been shared, so will get them here on record!

This 2022 bassinet quilt for the NeoNatal Unit is called 'Mix 'Em Up!'

Some simple line quilting and 'ribbons' in some parts; used my Elna 200.

It has a 'foxy' flannel backing.

And Gizmo had to help inspect the photo shoot...

Hello Friends!

Have been updating my 'maker's journal' with craft projects and cross-referencing with photos and blog posts - and have found a few projects from the past year or two that haven't been shared, so will get them here on record!

These two NeoNatal bassinet quilts are from 2021...(using leftovers from this cot quilt)

This is 'Hello, my friends!'

I did simple echo lines or loopy ribbons for the quilting; using my Elna 200 and for some parts used an orange vintage thread that a friend had given me.

This one is 'Hello, friends!'

Dreams

Have been updating my 'maker's journal' with craft projects and cross-referencing with photos and blog posts - and have found a few projects from the past year or two that haven't been shared, so will get them here on record!

These two bassinet quilts from 2022 were donated to the Southland NeoNatal Unit in December, with 28 other bassinet quilts from the past two years (see photo at end!)

This is 'Castle Dreams' - 22" x 24"

And this is 'Princess Dreams' -  22" x 24"

It is always a pleasure to take some Christmas goodies and small decorations for the parents and babies in the Southland NeoNatal Unit each Christmas (our son was a premmie patient there in 2001) and I usually also drop off a pile of bassinet quilts to be handed out as well.  I forgot to take the pile last year, so this year I had 30 to donate!
I do love a polka dot binding!

Sweet Greetings

This 30"sq cot quilt was made for an employee from our pizza shop who went on maternity leave in 2021; we didn't know the gender so I kept it fairly neutral.

Here are some progress/close-up photos:

The critters and carrots are super cute!

I kept the quilting simple; done on my table-top Elna 200.
