Disney Wishes For You

I am still catching up on sharing the projects that I've finished in this second half of the year!

This was a cot quilt created in September as a belated gift for our newest great-niece in Hawkes' Bay, Florence, who was born in April. Her grandparents were down visiting recently, so they took it back up to her.

It was made from a small pack of Mickey and Minnie Mouse themed fat quarters that has been in my stash for a couple of years, and I added a couple of other fat quarters from my stash as well.

I did a free-motion loopy stipple, with some stars thrown in along the way, for the quilting, using my Bernina Q20 longarm.

The quilt finished at 42.5" x 44.5" and was adapted from the 'Easy Bricks' pattern by Amy Smart (diaryofaquilter.com)

I used a mint pin-stripe for the binding, and leftover yardage for the backing.

Getting photos had again been tricky as the weather had been so changeable and often wasn't pleasant in the hours of daylight in which I was at home.
