Great Outdoors

I found these two fat quarters in among a box of leftovers from an Eye Spy quilt I had made my for my son when he was a pre-schooler and decided to use them as feature prints...

Teddy Bear Adventures: 19" x 20" with some simple quilting and a flannel backing

The teddy bears are too cute!

Wander in the Woods: 19.5" x 22", also has simple quilting and the flannel backing

There's a lot of critters to spot in this print...

Animal Friends

More neonatal bassinet finishes from January...after shifting my sewing room around, I was determined to use up some leftovers/scraps that had been waiting to be used:

Animal Friends Fun: 19.5" x 23.5"
Has some echo quilting and straight line quilting, and a spotty flannel backing.

My Animal Friends: 19.5" x 23.5"
Same style of quilting and spotty flannel backing.

Big Cat Family, Friends and Fun

These three bassinet quilts were a January finish...

Big Cat Family: 18.5" x 20" and has a safari animal flannel backing

Big Cat Friends: 18" x 20" and has the same safari animal flannel backing

Big Cat Fun: 17.5" x 22" and has a white flannel backing

Someone (named Gizmo) heard the call of the big cats and insisted on checking it all out!

Sweet Tweet

I had some coloured leftovers (the stacks of bright colours) and matched them up with the birdhouse print that has been in my stash for a while to make this neonatal bassinet quilt.

It measures 20" x 23" and has a flannel backing.

One-a-penny

One-a-penny, two-a-penny, hot cross buns...this bassinet quilt was made at the start of this year with some orphan blocks leftover from the Hot Cross Buns quilt I made a few years back.

It measures 18" x 23.5" and has an all over large stipple for quilting and a flannel backing.

(The rose is 'Mum in a Million' - beautifully scented!

A Quiet Swim

Another catch-up (it is amazing what you find when you have a good tidy up of the sewing room, and I found a stack of neonatal bassinet quilts that haven't been photographed yet).

This was from the start of 2021, made with some random quarter circles that I found in a box, and added the shark fabric as a background for some fun. It measures 21" x 21.5".

Sweet Treat

This cute bassinet quilt was made with leftovers from a larger cot quilt.

I had used a pack of mini-charms from Spotlight and these were the leftovers - they have bit of a metallic thread through them.

The quilting is a very simple diagonal line (using a walking foot), with a couple of double ups in some places for variety.

The backing is a cloudy flannel and the binding is a tone-on-tone soft pink.

Will be donated to the Southland Hospital NNU.
