Catch Me! baby quilt

Keeping up with my 'rule' of using leftover fabrics from larger projects to make
neonatal bassinet quilt, this little quilt was made from scraps from 'Cat and Mouse'.

It has both the cat print, and the mice print.

I used an all over large stipple for quilting, and the backing is a pink ditsy-floral.

Cat and Mouse lap quilt

'Cat and Mouse' is one of my Covid-19 Level Four alert lockdown projects
and it measures 37" square.

I have been making the black/white or black/teal 2.5" squares at various times over the past few months, from leftover triangles (or 'ears') cut off when making binding or flying geese type blocks.

I decided to use this cool cat print that has been in my stash for a while,
and the outer border is just a polka dot.

The scrappy triangle-corner squares were an idea from Amanda Jean Nyberg's book
'Sunday Morning Quilts' (she is known as Crazy Mom on blogger and Instagram).

The backing is made from a cute little mice print that has also been in my stash, and a teal print.

My cat, Rumbles, had to be nosy about it all, of course...

...and my shadow, Bess, is never far away either!

Sharing my project with Michelle's Beauties Pageant for this week - hi everyone!

Spring Summer theme

Another two 'leftovers' bassinet quilts - these two having been made from fabrics leftover from making one of Meadow Mist Designs' Mystery Mosaic quiltalong projects from last year (which has just been quilted this week and I have the binding to do).

Springtime 19" x 24"

The backing is a very pale green tone on tone print.

My Summer Garden 21" x 24"

I've loved this bicycle fabric that's been in my stash for a while -
it has the perfect colours to use as the backing...

True Colours cot quilt

This was made with leftover blocks and fabric from Brilliant and it measures 19" x 23.5".

I used the same free motion quilting designs as I did for Brilliant.

(I Hear You) baby quilts

These two almost identical neonatal bassinet quilts are made from leftovers from the Happy Friends baby quilt.

Their names are lyrics from the Stevie Nicks' song 'Edge of Seventeen' and both are 21" x 24".

Happy Friends cot quilt

This was made earlier in the year for another one of Brian's employees who was about to take maternity leave.

I called it Happy Friends based on the cute characters in the print, and I used different free motion quilting patterns in the stripes.

It measures 33' x 35.5" and I got all the fabric from my stash; the backing fabric is a stars and moon print

I used the leftovers for two more neonatal bassinet quilts to donate later in the year.
