One block with a wreath of feathers and pebbles, plus heart motif...I am quite pleased with this wreath!
...another block with a feather pattern in the chevron (hard to see in the pattern of the fabric), a feather shell in the triangles and lines in between...
...and a third block with a spiral chain in the sashing and snake paisley in the triangles...
Now, on to blocks 13 - 20 - only a week left until school starts again and this quilt shall be complete if I have anything to do with it (and if the Aussie Open tennis finals don't keep me up too late over the next three nights, hmm, do I want Nadal or Federrer to win? I don't mind, I just love a good game!)
(Next day...well done Rafa!! Gosh the final with Wawrinka is going to be a doozy!!)
Oh my goodness - your quilting is BEAUTIFUL!!! These blocks are so great!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for stopping by! I am excited to think I am nearing the finish; I watched the last few videos of the class last night (while watching tennis as well) so am keen to get going today (before the women's final tonight!) Have a good weekend!
DeleteOh my...wonderful quilting! What a nice feeling to be making such lovely progress!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Only three to go!!
DeleteYour pebbles look great! I get bored doing them with a paper and pencil, so I don't think I will try them on a quilt for awhile. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have decided I could be making them bigger, for some reason I tend to move quite small. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteLOVE the quilting!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing quilting! Such detail and precision!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! Practice makes improvements I always say!
DeleteYour quilting is awesome!! Wow! And the colors in the quilt - love it and I am not usually really a pink kind of girl! :) Your quilting really makes it sing! I'd be pretty proud of that wreath too!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. The fabrics were mostly from a set I picked up at my favourite quilt shop and I just had to use them for this project!
DeleteBeautiful work! It has been fun seeing everyone's 2013 BOM and their quilting. I really like your fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for stopping by. In a house of males it has been nice to use girly colours!
DeleteI think I need to sign up for Leah's class. I just can't seem to conquer FMQ. Your project looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed the class, totally recommend it!
DeleteThe quilting looks great! I especially like the feathers in the snowball. I love the way pebbling looks, but I hate to quilt it.
ReplyDeleteHi, I was really pleased with those feathers, yes. As for pebbling, I agree, I just need to go a bit bigger I think.
DeleteYour quilting looks wonderful. I also have this class in my account. I am working on a sampler now hoping it will work!
ReplyDeleteOh I think you will find that it is all worth it in the end and you will be really pleased!
DeleteNicely done!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks tonnes! Great to have you stop by!
DeleteYour quilting is just beautiful! It really makes the quilt stand out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice comments, I am loving the experience (when I find time to do it!!)
