Cat and Mouse lap quilt

'Cat and Mouse' is one of my Covid-19 Level Four alert lockdown projects
and it measures 37" square.

I have been making the black/white or black/teal 2.5" squares at various times over the past few months, from leftover triangles (or 'ears') cut off when making binding or flying geese type blocks.

I decided to use this cool cat print that has been in my stash for a while,
and the outer border is just a polka dot.

The scrappy triangle-corner squares were an idea from Amanda Jean Nyberg's book
'Sunday Morning Quilts' (she is known as Crazy Mom on blogger and Instagram).

The backing is made from a cute little mice print that has also been in my stash, and a teal print.

My cat, Rumbles, had to be nosy about it all, of course...

...and my shadow, Bess, is never far away either!

Sharing my project with Michelle's Beauties Pageant for this week - hi everyone!
