This week I finished up this little bag as a farewell gift for my work colleague, Rose Dickison; am very happy to say that she was delighted with it!
Made up the pattern by myself - the finished bag is 12.5" wide by 13.5" long,w ith 24"handles.
The fabric squares were from a charm pack of Moda Modern Workshop by Liesl Gibson for Oliver + S for Moda. The turquoise fabric is by Timeless Treasures Fabrics and I used it to line the bag too.
I like the offset patchwork in the bag and very clever to stitch inside, I should take time to do that detail.
ReplyDeleteHi! I actually just use a fabric pen to write the details on an inside area as a label of my work. Very easy! Thanks for visiting.
DeleteWhat a great bag! I have been wanting to do a patchwork bag, but haven't figured out what I should do. I love how this is a little different - and breaks up the busy-ness of patchwork. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wanted to use as many of the charms as possible and make it really colourful.
DeleteI love the way the colored squares work so well with the solids! Beautiful finish!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. I am in love with that blue solid!
DeleteLove it, Jen - and the turquoise s stunning. Lucky Rose :)
ReplyDeleteLovely bag. I would have a hard time parting with a bag like that.
