Cushions in progress

Am putting together a couple of cushions in an effort to a) use some more of my current favourite fabric combo and b) to practice using my sewing machine to appliqué shapes onto them (as a practice run before doing it on the front of a bag my workmate has commissioned me to make for her!).
A front panel, made from four 8" scrap slabs - kind of a modern log cabin style I guess.

This is the other cushion panel, about to have the circles ironed on.  This shows the back flap at the left, the front panel is the centre section with the circles on it, and the back panel is on the right.

Check out some other WIPs (works in progress) at the Freshly Pieced Modern Quilting blog's WIP Wednesday post!

  3. These look fun. The color combo kind of reminds me of Halloween. It just needs a little purple added in for spice.

    1. Hmm, I think you might be right, purple would be another dimension to it!
