Formerly known as Jen's Crafts and Quilts Scrapbook - this is an online scrapbook of my craft projects! I sign all my quilts with "Handmade with (heart symbol)" and thought it would be an appropriate blog title.
This is waiting to be quilted...(sorry, was an inside, night-time photo)...
It is a lap quilt pattern called 'Little Leap Frog' written by Janeen Getz for the Project12Quilts.com and the fabrics were fat quarters from Spotlight.
It's a great one, Jen. Lovely colours and your eyes keep moving around on it - love it!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, it looks interesting from any side.
DeleteA fun quilt.........how will you quilt it?
ReplyDeleteOh, umm, haven't thought about it...the original pattern has a large stipple...I am thinking maybe some concentric squares? Not sure...
DeleteNeat pattern and vibrant colors! Have fun quilting!
ReplyDeleteThanks Vera - its a long weekend here (for our ANZAC Day commemorations) so I am hoping to get it all finished!
DeleteColours are great and the 'leap frog' idea works really well! Looking forward to seeing the quilting.
ReplyDeleteCheers Lynn! I have made the back panel a giant sized leap frog block - watch this space for the finished photo!
DeleteLove this!!! So fresh and bright
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was showing my teaching colleagues last night and they loved the colours too! Fingers crossed I may get the quilting done this weekend...
DeleteI see why it's called Leap Frog since my eye wants to jump around on the colorful squares! Fun!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying quilting it, and for the backing I made a giant leap frog block (one fat quarter surrounded by a different fabric).
DeleteHello, great quilt! Thanks for the link to the pattern.
ReplyDeleteNo probs! It's a lovely, easy pattern. Thanks for stopping by.
