Formerly known as Jen's Crafts and Quilts Scrapbook - this is an online scrapbook of my craft projects! I sign all my quilts with "Handmade with (heart symbol)" and thought it would be an appropriate blog title.
I have wanted to make a strip quilt like this from my 2.5" scraps. Looks like a fast project really good for kids quilts & a good way to use up "scraps"..
I love the Jelly roll race quilts. They just look great.Love the back too! I get a little lazy on the back, but the pieced are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI like the way they come together so quickly and are quite random so the finish is a nice surprise! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI'm generally not a fan of jelly roll race quilts, but really do like yours. The colors are yummy!
ReplyDeleteThat's the beauty of batiks - so vibrant! Thanks for your feedback!

ReplyDeleteYes it would be a cool way to use up scraps, I agree! I am still building up my scraps as am a relatively 'new' (aka slow) quilter!
DeleteVery pretty! I have one of these on my "to do" list. Love the colors - also looked back and love your 1934 Jelly Roll race, too! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is really easy to do and so effective. I must get the second one finished...
DeleteLove the colours in your jelly roll race quilt! It reminds me a sunrises and sunsets in Africa.
ReplyDeleteOh you are quite right! And Africa is certainly a place I would love to visit - the animal life there has always fascinated me. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteLove the intense colors of the quilt. I may have to try one! Thanks for commenting on my blog. Glad I found your site. Love it.
