Tracey's Couch Cosy

Good things take time and today Tracey (who celebrated a significant birthday back on Valentine's Day) finally received her 'Couch Cosy' lap quilt! And am sharing my completion this week with the Friday Night Finish link-up party at Crazy Mom Quilts...
Quilted in black and red on the top, mid grey on the back: tri-diagonal lines through the stripped blocks, alternating red-black-red, and a criss-cross surrounded by straight line stitching in the square-framed blocks, in black.
Approx. 125cm square (50" sq), made with fabrics purchased from Kits'n'Things in Invercargill. The pattern was based on Julie@Jaybird Quilts' 'Radio Way' design.
The backing is a wide Robert Kaufman backing, and the binding is made from alternating strips of grey solid and black/red/grey prints.
Testing it out! Just in time for winter snuggling!

    1. Oh very cool! Yes, there are not many of us appearing on these blogs so it is always nice to hear from another kiwi! Have a super week - it has turned nasty down here winter-wise and I've just had a text from a friend in Cromwell to show me her daughter is snuggled up under her birthday quilt to watch TV - exactly what it is intended for! Cheers, Jenny
